The Great Commission
"Jesus came and told his disciples, 'I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'" (Matthew 28:18-20)
The Components of the Cross
The Disciple’s Cross is made up of three distinct components. The simulated leather cord reminds us of the leather straps used to beat our Savior; the wrapped wire stands for the thorn branches twisted into a a crown to mock the King of Kings; and the nails represent the large spikes that were driven into the hands and feet of the Lord of Lords.

John Raymond began Disciple's Cross™ as a craft idea at a summer youth camp in Louisiana. It was a great way to keep the students busy and stay out of the sun. They were fun to make. But to his surprise, after camp was over, the students kept asking him to make more of these beautiful handcrafted cross necklaces. It seemed like each one he made turned into requests for more.
He was barely able to meet the growing demand for the Disciple's Cross™ necklaces, until his appearance on the Emmy Award winning CBS Reality TV Show, Survivor: Thailand. After wearing one of his unique, hand-made crosses on the show, interest skyrocketed and Disciple’s Cross™ was born.
John and his family operated out of their small home. A spare bedroom was the office and the garage housed the inventory and shipping department.
