Meet Ben Raymond
Ben Raymond holds an Associate's Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Highlands College and a Bachelor's from Southeastern University. He teaches high school Bible, Science and History full-time at Lakeside, as well as leads the worship and production teams at New Horizon Church.

Personal Background
​
Ben Raymond was born and raised in the vibrant community of Slidell, Louisiana. From an early age, Ben displayed a passion for a variety of interests, excelling in arts, athletics, and public speaking. He attended Northlake Christian School from preschool through his high school graduation, where he became a standout in many areas. In addition to his achievements in speech meets and art competitions, Ben played on his school's football team during middle school and junior high, and was a key member of a championship basketball team from childhood until his junior year. A talented artist, Ben left a memorable mark by gifting each of his senior classmates with a personalized self-portrait, a gesture that made history at Northlake Christian School.
Academic Journey​
Driven by a desire for continuous learning and leadership, Ben moved to Birmingham, Alabama, to pursue his studies at Highlands College. While there, he engaged fully in campus life, winning the championship for intramural kickball and developing his musical talents as part of the Church of the Highlands worship team through their development track. Upon completing his advanced certificate in Ministry Leadership from Highlands College, Ben continued his education remotely at Southeastern University, earning an Associate Degree in Christian Ministry and Theology. His dedication to expanding his knowledge and expertise culminated in a Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership in 2023.
Professional Experience
Ben returned to Slidell to serve as the Associate Pastor at New Horizon Church, where he plays a vital role in leading the production and worship teams. His commitment to serving his community is evident in his extensive experience in community service, working with multiple large organizations and ministries across the Southeastern United States.
Ben is a regular teaching pastor at New Horizon Church, always delivering thought-provoking and inspiring messages for their congregation.

Additionally, Ben is a full-time teacher at LCA, where he teaches various subjects to students from 7th to 12th grade, including World History, U.S. History, World Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Life Science, Old and New Testament Theology, and Apologetics. His dual roles as a pastor and educator showcase his dedication to nurturing both the spiritual and intellectual growth of those he serves.
